The next time you drive by University Toyota in Morgantown, WV, you will notice plenty of 2023 Toyota models. But what’s new for the model year? Some of your favorites have significant changes, while others are incredibly similar to the previous model year.

4Runner

In honor of the 4Runner’s 40th anniversary, Toyota is releasing a Special Edition that builds on the SR5 Premium 4WD. If you love the retro design or bold colors, be sure to consider the special edition. 

BZ4X

The BZ4X is a completely new addition to the 2023 Toyota models. It is the brand’s first all-electric compact SUV. 

Camry

Consider the new Nightshade package that gives you black trim on the taillights and headlights. It also features 19-inch wheels with a bronze finish. 

Corolla 

The 2023 Toyota models of your favorite Corolla have new exterior styling and an updated multimedia system. You will also notice additional trim levels and that the Corolla Hybrid now offers an all-wheel drive. 

Corolla Cross

After its 2022 debut, the subcompact Corolla Cross SUV now has a hybrid model. That hybrid model features all-wheel drive as part of its fifth-generation hybrid system. 

GR 86

You may remember the 2022 GR86’s redesign. 2023 sees a Special Edition model with an exclusive exterior orange paint color called Solar Shift, along with other unique features. 

GR Corolla

The GR Corolla will be new for 2023. You’ll have your choice of the MORIZO Edition, Circuit Edition, or Core Edition. 

Highlander

The gas-powered Highlander now has a 2.4-liter turbo 4-cylinder instead of its old V6. This boosts output to 309 pound-feet of torque. You’ll also appreciate the available dual 12.3-inch screens. 

RAV4

The big news for this one of the 2023 Toyota models is the Woodland limited edition model. It is great for off-roading with a TRD off-road-tuned suspension, mudguards, and Falken all-terrain tires, among other features. 

Sequoia

Expect a major redesign for the 2023 Sequoia. This will be the first major update since 2008. 

Sienna

The Sienna is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a special edition. This trim combines sporty elements of the XSE, upgrades of the Limited, and other exclusive features. There will only be 2525 models of this limited edition. 

Supra

The 2023 Supra continues to deliver excitement with the option of a 6-speed manual transmission on the 3.0-liter 6-cylinder models. 

Tacoma

The big news for the Tacoma is the new SX and Chrome packages. The SX package gives you a unique bed graphic and blackout trim. Or the Chrome package adds chrome to the door handles and 18-inch wheels, plus TACOMA lettering on the truck’s tailgate. 

Tundra

The 2023 Tundra now offers the SX package on the SR5 models. Choosing it gives you 18-inch dark-metallic-gray wheels and blacked-out trim. 

Venza

The Venza is another of the 2023 Toyota models to get a Nightshade Edition for the new model year.
